These Belize jungle adventure tours can be booked when you arrive, ahead of time, or as part of a package. To guarantee space and availability, we recommend booking your tours before you arrive.


Your adventure begins with a boat ride through the Placencia Lagoon and mangroves to the Village of Monkey River. Along the way you may see manatees or dolphins. As you go on up Monkey River from the village you’ll see marvelous wildlife such as: iguanas, crocodiles, many different species of birds along the river bank. You will then take a short hike in the jungle in search of the famous howler monkeys. Enjoy the sights and sounds of the rainforest. After the hike you will head back to monkey river village to have lunch at a local restaurant!

Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary and Jaguar Preserve is believed to have the world’s highest density of jaguars as well as several other cat species. Over 290 different species of birds; thus Cockscomb is a leading destination for birdwatchers in Belize. You can find beautiful hand-carved slate plaques, baskets, jewelry and clothing made by local Mayan women. The first hike will be on an established trail, where your guide will explain the flora and fauna that makes the reserve such amazing place, Wildlife including a variety of exotic birds. The adventure continues with a hiking upstream with your inner tubes. After hiking upstream, float downstream going with the flow of the South Stann Creek River. While tubing downstream you will have opportunities for taking pictures of the breath-taking jungle. After the river floating, you can hike to the local waterfall for a refreshing swim. You will have the chance to swim under the waterfall and receive a natural massage from the flowing water fall. A natural waterslide, created by the flow of the river is a great way to end your adventure.
